Update:  We've finally named this beautiful male out of Marlow, a maroon son of Tafts Antonio, a true black male out west. This guy has wonderful crimp, corkscrews to the skin. Combined with great density and coverage he's a real asset to a colored breeding program. Look at his black points, he's really got an exotic head with tremendous eyelashes. He's already putting on the face coverage, and he's soooo sweet and mellow. He gets great bone from both dam and sire, along with his size, this fella is going to be big! He's very tall and stretchy, again from both sides. His little toes are disappearing from his stovepipe coverage, watching him walk around the barn reminds me of a dancer, he's so graceful. Have you ever seen a male that stands so tall and proud, with his neck erect and his ears forward, that you wonder if he is ever unhappy? Marlow definitely fits this bill. It is amazing to watch him strut around the pasture, and then flirt and snort with the girls on the other side of the fence. He has an incredibly strong libido and settled his first female with just one breeding. Marlow is tall with strong bone and is also very easy to handle. He has super dense fleece with uniform crimp from his hind legs to the base of his neck. His fiber statistics show the following: AFD 21.6, SD 4.4, CV 20.4 and just 3.3% over 30! That is excellent for a three-year-old dark brown male.
